The first Union soldiers entered the town of Falmouth on April 18, 1862, as the Confederates burned the bridges over the Rappahannock to the City of Fredericksburg. Return to the Historic Port of Falmouth for the 4th annual arrival of "Yankees in Falmouth!" (and Confederates too!)

ACTIVITIES: An encampment, artillery firing demonstrations, Civil War artifact displays, history presentations, and a period church service in camp. The Moncure Conway House, which is only open for special occasions, will be open for tours. Nearby, Amy's Cafe will be open for lunch and dinner in the historic Cambridge Inn.

DIRECTIONS: From I-95, Exit 133 (A) toward Falmouth. Take Rte. 17 South Business approximately 1 mile. Turn right on Washington Street. (Melchers' Home & Studio and Stafford Visitor Center is on the right). Proceed down the hill to stop sign. Turn right. Continue to parking lot on right. Conway House and event on left.
